See what others are saying…

Supporting foundations that are for the good of our children, and children that may be less fortunate than I was as a child, is very important to myself and my family. “Wendy’s Walk for Kids” combines multiple needs for children into one event and I must admit WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!!!

Two years ago I walked with the group “A Room to Heal”.

At first I didn’t really know anything about the walk, I did it to get a concert ticket.

Honestly I was amazed by all of the people that chose to participate…it was incredible to see how much people care about the walk and what it does for the community.

I was so inspired that when the organization that I work for was asked to form a team, I jumped at the chance to be the team captain. It is truly great work that you do!!

I have participated in the Wendy’s Walk because it is raising money for a worthwhile cause and is a chance to help kids and raise awareness at the same time.
I recommend the Walk because it gives a feeling of accomplishment to know that you have helped someone else.

My husband and I enjoyed walking last year in the Wendy’s Walk for Kids and will do so again this year. We believe it’s a great opportunity to help the children’s charities that are in need and also by helping us get some good exercise and fresh air. Enjoyed sharing some time with our kids, grandkids and friends. With so many cutbacks in government funding, these charities need our help.

Carol and I enjoyed the walk because we really needed the exercise! But, more importantly we enjoyed visiting with family and friends before, during and after the walk. It just a great way to get some exercise and enjoy the great outdoors with friends and family. Thank you for inviting us.

I walked because it is a kid friendly event that helps kids in our local area. My family and I were able to walk the beautiful golf course with friends and enjoy the golf tournament all at the same time.

Why should you walk in this event? You should walk to support established programs and organizations that help kids of all ages in our local area in a variety of ways. this event invests in the future of our community. If you care about this community and the future of our community you should support this event.

What I enjoy most about this event is that it rotates and supports multiple different agencies and organizations that specifically helps children in our area. This gives an opportunity for many children in a variety of different
ways to be impacted.

Thank you for asking.

I work closely everyday with Children’s support services as the Single Point of Accessibility Coordinator in our county. Some of the most needy populations are kids who do not have a voice through support of a parent…foster kids. Every child needs and deserves to feel the love and support of a family. Children who have been traumatized by the place that they are suppose to feel most secure (home) do not have a voice in what happens when they must be removed for safety issues.

Our counties social services has accomplished locating dedicated and caring foster homes, however, funding is always in jeopardy for the most vulnerable. Supports pursued through efforts such as Wendy’s Walk are important in picking up the funding gaps. As a community, these are all of our children; it’s a critical time in their lives that they are provided with the stability and love they need to grow so they may lead healthy futures. I am proud to participate and be a supporter of Wendy’s Walk.

Donating to the Wendy’s Walk for Kids Foundation is a joy to me to see help for so many kids who benefit. Kids who get a home that never had one, youth programs, and wishes that come true for kids who have life- threatening medical conditions. The more we do our part, the more kids that benefit. They all need to be in our prayers.

I walked to help support community organizations that help LOCAL children. Times are tough for most people. With money so tight, these organizations need our help more than ever. Plus, it’s good exercise, and if you bring some friends or family, a nice social event.
