Join us as we take Steps to a Brighter Future by participating in the Wendy’s Walk for Kids! Our goal is to raise $225,000 to be distributed in equal amounts to: The Dave Thomas Foundation for Adoption, Handicapped Children’s Association, Broome County Urban League, and Mom’s House of NY.

Who Can Register? EVERYONE! Adults, children, individuals, families, co-workers, clubs, teams, organizations, schoolmates and friends – all are welcome!

How Do I Register? Online, by mail, local Wendy’s restaurants, and also at any of our 2013 or 2014 children’s charities:  Broome County Urban League; Handicapped Children’s Association; Mom’s House; Binghamton JCC; Food Bank of the Southern Tier; and ACHIEVE.

When Do I Walk?  The Walk will by held on August 18, 2013, 5:00pm, during the final (Sunday) round of golf at the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open, at En-Joie golf course in Endicott, NY.

Check-in on Walk Day: You may check-in at the Wendy’s Walk for Kids Registration Table at the entrance tent of the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open. This is where you will pick-up your T-shirt and goodie bag (both, while supplies last) and also turn in any donations you’ve collected.

Is There a Cost to Enter the Dick’s Open on August 18th? Admission to the Dick’s Sporting Goods Open is FREE to registered Walk Participants.

Will I See the Golfers? Your Wendy’s Walk registration includes admission to the golf tournament for the entire day  on August 18, 2013. You are welcome to arrive early in the morning to watch the Pro Golfers, all day. You may or may not see any golf in-play during our Walk. Sometimes there are still a few Pro Golfers on the course, finishing their round.

Is There a Cost to Enter the Wendy’s Walk for Kids?  Children 17 and younger register for FREE, and adults 18 and older are $15 if registered on-line or by mail by August 17th.  Walk-up registration on August 18, 2013 is  or $20 for adults.

Is There A Required Amount of Money I Must Raise? No. All participants are asked to raise as much money as they can to help these four most worthy charities. The most simple and successful process for our Walkers has always been to ask 10 people for $10 each. In doing so, each Walker is able to raise $100. There is also a place on-line, in your “Login Headquarters” where you can send an email to friends and family letting them know that you’re Walking, and accepting donations.

How Do I Collect Money, and Where Do I Send It?
1) An email pledge form with secure online credit card payment options is available for you to use, from inside your Headquarters.  Click here to login.  This is a great way to conveniently encourage donations by sending an email to friends & family!

2) A donation form is available for you to share with friends and family to encourage donations.   Details of where to mail the payment are included on the donation form.

3) Money should be turned in at the Wendy’s Walk for Kids registration table on Walk day.  Please check back for 2013 details.

Checks are always made payable to:  Broome County Community Charities

At any time during the year, donations and payments are mailed to:
Trisha Morehouse
